Angry mom hurls pigs feet through market window

Posted: Updated:

LOYALL, Ky. (AP) - Dianne Lewis says she doesn't remember throwing the jars of pickled pigs feet through the window of a convenience store in Harlan County, KY.

Nor does she remember raking merchandise from the shelves of the Loyall Kwik Mart.

Lewis told WYMT-TV in Hazard in a jail interview on Tuesday that she was angry because the owner of the market had ejected her son from property the man also owns. She does remember arguing with market owner James Howard and then a state trooper arriving.

Kentucky State Police charged Lewis with several offenses. No one from the market was available for comment.

Lewis compared the incident to a mama bear protecting her cub.

She remained in the Harlan County Detention Center Wednesday. There was no record of whether she had an attorney.
