Body recovered after swimmer went missing at Percy Priest Lake

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Divers have recovered the body of a swimmer who went missing Tuesday at Percy Priest Lake in the Long Hunter State Park recreation area.

Travoris Nawls, 20, of Antioch, died after he and several friends were swimming together in the lake just before noon.

Nawls went under water, and efforts by his friends to locate him were unsuccessful.

Rescue crews from the Office of Emergency Management spent several hours searching for the victim's body before finding him later.
