A Putnam County man is accused of stealing an autographed football signed by NFL star Peyton Manning.

On Tuesday, the Putnam County Sheriff's department arrested former Baxter police officer Jeffery Ragland.

Ragland, 42, is accused of taking the football from a Baxter home and then selling it to a collector's shop for $75.

This is the third time he's been charged with theft this year.
