Food Lion recalls cantaloupes affected by listeria

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A nationwide cantaloupe recall involves many sold in Middle Tennessee.

More than 400 Food Lion stores, including all 22 locations in the Channel 4 viewing area, sold Athena cantaloupes distributed by a North Carolina company that may have been tainted by listeria.

The affected melons have a sticker with the code PLU 43-19.

If you have purchased one of these cantaloupes, throw it away and return the sticker to your local Food Lion store for a full refund.
