GALLATIN, TN (WSMV) -

Two officers were rushed to the hospital after they were involved in a scuffle with inmates at the Sumner County Jail Sunday afternoon.

Sheriff Sonny Weatherford said it began when an inmate apparently got upset that he didn't get his meal on time.

Police said Anton Golladay got into a fight with Officer Jonathan Fowler and broke Fowler's nose.

Another inmate, Zachary Woods, broke the sprinkler in his cell and flooded it with water, investigators said.

When officers went to escort him to another area, they fell.

Officer Christopher Troutman hurt his wrist.

Weatherford said the officers were rushed to Sumner Regional Medical Center.

They were expected to be OK.
