NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
In less than an hour, Metro Police had a man in custody in connection with a holdup at a Hermitage gas station.
According to investigators, Michael Crowell, 39, was arrested around 10 a.m.
The robbery was reported at approximately 9 a.m. at 801 Briley Parkway, police said. The clerk told investigators that a man matching Crowell's description came into the store and claimed he had a gun. Police said he claimed to have a gun and demanded money.
Officers didn't have to travel far to find their suspect. They said Crowell lives next door to the business.
When investigators questioned Crowell about a motive, he reportedly told the police he had no other choice because he couldn't find a job.
