NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
Police are investigating a shooting on Herman Street, near Fisk University.
Police say a resident there called to report a man at her home, claiming he'd been shot. When officers arrived they saw blood on the porch. A few moments later the victim arrived at General Hospital.
The victim told police he was getting out of his car when someone tried to rob him at gunpoint. He said he gave the suspect money, then ran, and that's when he was shot three times.
Police say his injuries are serious, but not life threatening.
