BOWLING GREEN, KY (WSMV) -
An 11-year-old child was found in a Kentucky Walmart on Tuesday morning covered in sweat and shivering.
The incident occurred in a Bowling Green Walmart on Walton Avenue.
Police said the child had fallen asleep when his father left him alone in the car with the windows rolled up and the ignition turned off. After he woke, the child walked into the Walmart store afraid and sick from his exposure to the heat.
The father, Sefkija Kudie, said he nudged the child before he left him in the car, but the child would not wake up.
While the father was cited, no charges were filed.
