Rutherford Co. man indicted on child rape charges

LASCASSAS, TN (WSMV) -

Indictments were issued this week against a Lascassas, TN, man who is accused of raping a child.

Mark Tracy Looney, 48, faces four counts of rape of a child and four counts of aggravated sexual battery.

Police said Looney raped the girl and then threatened her, according to a report in the Daily News Journal.

Detectives said he told the girl she would go to jail if she told anyone about the incident.
