
The University of Tennessee Extension is hosting a meeting Thursday to help area farmers and ranchers deal with the effects of drought and extreme high temperatures.
Experts will give tips on maintaining crops and livestock in dire conditions.
The main session will focus on forage management and water supply.
Breakout sessions will include specific needs relating to horse owners and beef, dairy, sheep and goat producers.
Thursday's meeting is from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Wilson County Fairgrounds in Lebanon.
