LAFAYETTE, TN (WSMV) -

A driver already accused of DUI could face vehicular homicide charges after a pregnant woman whose vehicle she allegedly struck lost her baby after the crash.

Police said Mary Francis has had two prior DUIs and this incident was her sixth charge for driving on a revoked license.

Francis is accused of causing the hit-and-run crash at a Lafayette pharmacy last week. Police believe Francis was high on hydrocodone when she ran into the back of the victim's car in the pharmacy drive thru lane.

The victim was nine months pregnant at the time and lost her baby soon after the wreck.

Francis was already on probation at the time for driving on a revoked license in Smith County. Now, she is once again charged with DUI, as well as leaving the scene of an accident.

Lafayette Police Chief Ray Amalfitano said investigators are awaiting autopsy results before they consider charging Francis in the baby's death.
