CLARKSVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
Severe storms moving through Middle Tennessee on Wednesday were to blame for starting several fires, including a three-alarm blaze at a Clarksville home.
The fire was reported around 4:30 p.m. in the 3000 block of Oak Glen Lane.
Fire officials believe lightning struck a gas line, which ignited the fire.
A teenager inside the home at the time went to a neighbor's house for help. They tried to shut off the gas, but the fire was moving too fast.
Also, fire crews in Robertson County battled a house fire possibly started by lightning in White House.
No injuries have been reported with either fire.
Since early July, at least five fires have been reportedly caused by lightning in Middle Tennessee.
