Suspect wanted in Hermitage double shooting

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Police have issued arrest warrants for a man they said is responsible for shooting a father a son Tuesday night at their Hermitage apartment complex.

Walter Johnson, 22, is wanted on charges of aggravated assault after police said he shot Clint Estes, 21, and Steve Estes, 44, after an argument at the Burning Tree Apartments in the 100 block of Burning Tree Drive.

Investigators said Johnson and Steve Estes exchanged words. Then, Johnson flashed a gun and when the father tried to get a hold of it, the gun fired and hit Estes in the head.

Estes' heard the struggle, opened the door to the apartment and the shooter shot him in the chest.

The Esteses were both treated for their wounds and released from the hospital.
