Christian County, KY, is preparing for the second annual "Little Green Men" Days Festival with the unveiling of a large flying saucer.
On Monday evening, festival organizers will showcase a 38-foot flying saucer. Comprised of two tons of metal and flashing lights, it's designed to give visitors an "alien experience."
The festival is a result of a well-publicized 1955 incident that occurred in the town of Kelly, KY, where aliens were supposedly spotted at a farmhouse.
The family-friendly event will be held Aug. 17-18 and feature music, arts & crafts and a hot dog eating contest.
This year's festival will move from the field between U.S. 41 and Old Madisonville Road to the east side of Old Madisonville Road, according to a report in the Kentucky New Era newspaper.
