Rescued animals soon available for adoption

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Many Channel 4 viewers have been asking how they can help the more than 200 animals rescued in recent raids, and now those pets are getting a fresh start.

Authorities and animal advocates seized the animals in two separate raids this month at homes in Wilson and White counties.

Volunteers have been caring for the dogs, cats, farm animals and fish at the Tennessee State Fairgrounds in south Nashville, where they were given vaccinations and necessary medical check-ups.

Saturday, many of those animals will head to foster homes arranged by local adoption groups.

If you'd like to foster or adopt, contact Agape Animal Rescue, Noah's Ark Society, Snooty Giggles Dog Rescue, Nashville Cat Rescue, Country K-9 Rescue or New Leash on Life.
