NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
A second local high-end jewelry store has been hit by crooks in as many days, and police are working to see if the pair of smash-and-grabs are related.
Detectives said two suspects wearing ski masks and swimming goggles walked into Genesis Diamonds in the 3700 block of Hillsboro Road on Friday, smashed the glass on a counter and took whatever jewels they could reach.
Nobody was injured, and detectives said they are hoping surveillance video will give them a better idea of who was behind the theft and what their getaway car looked like.
There's no word yet how much the jewels were worth.
Thursday, police in Murfreesboro said two men walked into Bell Jewelers, smashed a case and stole four Rolex watches.
The stolen watches were valued at more than $40,000.
Also, police said two men attempted to break into King Jewelers in Green Hills on Wednesday night but were unsuccessful.
Anyone with information on these cases is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
