Rain prompts lifting of more burn bans

Posted: Updated:
DICKSON, TN (WSMV) -

Much-needed rain that has fallen in Middle Tennessee this week has allowed authorities in some Middle Tennessee towns to lift recently imposed burn bans.

Dickson, Clarksville and all of Rutherford and Sumner counties have lifted their burn bans.

Dickson and Sumner counties made their decision Friday morning, while Rutherford County made the announcement Thursday morning and Clarksville did so on Wednesday.

Burn bans remain in place for many other cities including Nashville.  Please check with your City Hall before planning to burn.
