CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) -- Two University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football players garnered preseason All-American honors from The Sports Network.
Junior linebacker Wes Dothard was a second-team selection and senior defensive end Josh Williams received a third team nod on the TSN rosters, which were released Monday.
Dothard was named a first-team TSN All-American by TSN after a breakout 2011 season. The Carrolton, Ga., native was a first-team All-SoCon selection after finishing second on the team with 98 tackles, fourth in the league with 15.5 tackles for loss, and third in the nation with five forced fumbles.
Dothard was the first UTC player to win three player of the week awards since 1999, and was named the SoCon's Defensive Player of the Month in September.
Williams was also a first team All-SoCon selection in 2011 after leading the league with 9.5 sacks. The Griffin, Ga., native is already the Mocs' career sack leader with 21.5 in his first three years.
