Clarksville dad in trouble over loaded gun left out

CLARKSVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A Clarksville dad is in trouble for allegedly leaving his gun where his 6-year-old daughter could get to it.

Police say the father left a loaded gun on a TV tray in his living room.

When he went to take the trash out, investigators say the gun discharged with his little girl alone in the house.

She wasn't hurt, the dad now faces child-neglect charges.
