Two Nashville women have been attacked in their homes in recent weeks. The latest happened in broad daylight in west Nashville

Tricia McMahon no longer feels safe in her home after she was attacked around 2 p.m. Saturday in her Sylvan Park neighborhood.

Someone managed to slip inside her unlocked door on Elkins Avenue while she was asleep on her couch. After spraying what is believed to be pepper spray in her face, the suspect got away with McMahon's medicine and cash. She had to be taken to the hospital.

McMahon isn't the only one who may have been targeted for her prescriptions. Last Friday on Franklin Avenue in east Nashville, a woman was nearly beaten to death by a stranger as she took out the trash. That suspect also got away with prescription pills and cash.

McMahon got the impression there was more than one intruder. She believes she may have been followed home from the pharmacy.
