DOVER, TN (WSMV) -
An SUV and a pickup were involved in a head-on crash in Stewart County Sunday afternoon on a busy highway.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Alaina Armstrong, 26, was driving northbound on State Route 120 when she tried to make a left turn into Dean's Market.
Police said Ryan Warren, 18, was driving southbound and tried to avoid a collision by entering into the northbound lanes. At the same time, state troopers said Armstrong switched back into the northbound lane.
The vehicles hit at a head-on angle, according to the THP.
Warren suffered minor injuries and was wearing his seat belt, police said.
Armstrong and her two passengers, Amber McDaniel, 29, and Whitney Gregory, 21, were injured. Armstrong and McDaniel were flown by helicopter to Vanderbilt Medical Center. Gregory was transported by ambulance to Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville.
None of the women were wearing seatbelts, police said.
