GREEN BAY, Wisc. (WRCB) -- B.J. Coleman wrapped up his first NFL offseason schedule in Green Bay last week, but the learning is just beginning for the former University of Tennessee at Chattanooga quarterback.

The Packers' rookie said his first few weeks have been a whirlwind of new faces, plays and places, but his first mandatory full-roster minicamp gave him a chance to see how much of it he's absorbed.

"It's been great. I've had the opportunity now to be exposed to the whole offense and go out there and put it all in motion," Coleman told Milwaukee's NBC affiliate WTMJ following last week's final workout. "The coaches have been great in helping things make sense, now it's my job to continue to learn it and study it when I go home and come back ready to rock and roll for training camp."

Coleman said he couldn't have been picked by a better organization when the Packers took him in the seventh round of the April draft. So far the legendary franchise has lived up to it's reputation.

Coleman said he's surrounded by first-class guys and believes there's great chemistry in the locker room. He's done his best to keep close to reigning NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers, taking in everything he can about Green Bay's talented starting quarterback.

"Just to have a mentor like Aaron, I can sit back and watch what he does to continue to get better and pay attention to how he prepares. That's huge for a young guy like myself," Coleman said. "You can see Graham (Harrell) has really come a long way and learned a lot from Aaron, and I expect to do the same. After that, everything else will take care of itself."

Last week's minicamp was the final scheduled offseason activity for the Packers before the start of training camp on July 26. Coleman will enter it as the team's No. 3 quarterback with hopes of pushing Harrell, a former Texas Tech star, for the back-up job behind Rodgers.
