NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

For the second time in two months, first lady Michelle Obama is coming back to Nashville.

The first lady will be the keynote speaker Thursday morning at the general conference for the African Methodist Episcopal Church.

The conference is being held at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel from June 27 to July 4.

President Barack Obama gave the speech at the same conference in 2008 when he was a U.S. Senator.

The AME was founded in 1787, has more than 3 million members worldwide and is the country's oldest African-American denomination.

The first lady visited Nashville in April to attend a luncheon fundraiser for her husband's re-election campaign.
