NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Police arrested a man Thursday night suspected of shooting a Dollar General employee in Antioch earlier this week.

Akeem Forman, 22, is accused of shooting a store manager during a robbery Monday at 12:05 p.m. at a store located at 1461 Bell Road.

Forman escaped with $700.

The manager, Christina Sims, 27, was hit in the calf and treated at Southern Hills Medical Center.  Police said the gun used in the shooting was a .22 caliber rifle.

While researching Forman's history, detectives said they found that Forman used three addresses, one in Nashville and two in LaVergne.

Around 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Metro officers found Forman inside an apartment on Cane Ridge Road. He was taken into custody without incident.

During questioning, Forman admitted to Monday's robbery and shooting, as well as recent robberies in Smyrna and Manchester.

Forman is being held in Nashville on $75,000 bond.
