Robotics camps under way for youngsters

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Robotics camps are under way at Lipscomb University in Nashville, aimed at engineering-minded youngsters.

One hundred twenty five elementary, middle and high school students are attending the camps, taught by engineering professors at Lipscomb and robotic engineers from Nissan North America, based in nearby Franklin, Tenn.

Campers will build small robots and learn about electrical switches, motors, wires and batteries. Older participants will design and construct their own robot and compete with others.

Additionally, campers will tour the Nissan plant southeast of Nashville.
