A former Titans coach returned to Nashville, but he's not talking about football. Chuck Cecil is talking about a dancing dog.
On Saturday, Cecil joined his wife and daughter at Snap Kids in Green Hills. The Cecil ladies launched their new children's book, Charli and Wilbur, named after Chuck's daughter and their Bernese mountain dog.
Chuck's wife and co-author, Carrie, read to the crowd who showed up, while spreading the book's message.
"We're trying to teach with an appropriate reader - at kindergarten, first-grade and second-grade reader - about acceptance and about following your dreams even though you might not fit in," said Carrie.
In the fictional book, the dog, Wilbur, wants to pursue his dancing career, which mirrors what Carrie and her daughter want people to get out of the book.
"So the book was really about if you have dreams and you don't fit in - your inside doesn't match your outside - and really just with faith and hard work you can get it done."
