20-year-old woman killed in Clarksville crash

CLARKSVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A young Clarksville woman was killed in a car crash Tuesday evening.

The wreck occurred around 4:40 p.m. near the intersection of Fort Campbell Boulevard and Hadley Drive.

Police said Melinda Sue Ricci, 20, was a passenger in a Mitsubishi Eclipse car that made a left turn, pulling into the path of an oncoming Chevrolet Avalanche truck.  Ricci died at the scene.

The car's driver, Ryan Lee Sullivan, 24, was taken to Gateway Medical Center in stable condition.  The truck's driver Kelly Metzmaker, 31, was not hurt.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
