CLARKSVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A Clarksville woman has been released from the Montgomery County Jail after being charged with aggravated assault for allegedly stabbing her husband with a needle contaminated with Hepatitis C.

Nakesha Eastland turned herself in this morning and was charged for the incident that happened last month.

Her husband told police Eastland is employed as a phlebotomist and has access to dirty needles.

While Eastland confirmed with police that she told her husband the needle was contaminated, it really wasn't.

Eastland is set to appear in court on June 4th.
