NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

It's almost time for the 71st annual Iriqouis Steeplechase at Percy Warner Park.

About 25,000 people are expected Saturday at the event that raises money for Vanderbilt Children's Hospital.

This year, organizers say cell phone service will be better and they are bringing in more bathrooms and food trucks for guests.

Gates open at 8:00 a.m. and the first race starts at 1 p.m.

People will be parking along Highway 100 then taking shuttles to the park.

The eastbound lane of Old Hickory Boulevard will be closed at Vaugn Road starting at 9 a.m. Then in the afternoon, the westbound lane will be closed.

Officers say there will be extra patrols to spot drunk drivers trying to leave the park.
