Girl, 16, says she blacked out after attack

Posted: Updated:

Clarksville police said they found a 16-year-old girl tied up in the back of her own Jeep on Thursday morning after she said she was kidnapped the night before.

The girl told officers she had stopped to help a man who fell down on Allen-Griffey Road around 10 p.m. Wednesday.

She said the man then got up, chased her back to her Jeep and jumped inside. The teen said they fought over the steering wheel and crashed into the bushes.

After the vehicle stopped, she told police that the man began tearing apart the vehicle and yelling.  At some point, she was struck on the head, blacked out, woke up and blacked out a couple more times.

Around 10:30 p.m., a woman had called police to report that her daughter did not return home from an evening church service and there were people out looking for her.

While officers were meeting with the mother to file a report, one of the people who had been looking for the teen found her vehicle in a field off of the 2200 block of Allen-Griffey Rd.

She was transported to the hospital, checked out and released. Police said, for the most part, the teen was physically unharmed, and there were no indications of sexual assault.

Officers did not locate anyone in the area. The vehicle was towed and is being processed for evidence.
