There may soon be one more reason to call Nashville "Music City." One of the largest entertainment companies in the world wants to build a new venue downtown.
Almost no one official is talking publicly about the project, but there is certainly a lot of speculation that Live Nation, the company that owns the House of Blues, would like to put a music venue in the current convention center.
And just the hope for a House of Blues in downtown Nashville has a lot of business owners and local musicians excited.
"Any kind of business that comes down here and is centered around music, that's what this town is all about," said Matt Harville, general manager at The Second Fiddle. "With the Music City Center coming in, just the influx of people, it will be just another driving force to bring people down to our street."
