A series of Channel 4 I-Team investigations have received some of the top honors in local news in recent weeks, including multiple Emmys and a regional Edward R. Murrow award.

The Channel 4 I-Team I-Team won a 2012 regional Edward R. Murrow award for investigative reporting for our problem into the questionable work habits and use of city equipment by former criminal court clerk David Torrence, who resigned following our investigation.

The Channel 4 I-Team also took home three Emmys at the MidSouth Regional Emmy awards in March.

The I-Team won an Emmy for investigative series for the David Torrence investigation.

The I-Team also took home an Emmy for business-consumer reporting for the investigation into the corrupt business practices of United Benefits of America, a company which shut down following our investigation and was sued by the federal government, resulting in a payout of more than $1 million to scam victims.

I-Team photographers Jason Finley and Zina Bauman received Emmys for their work on those series.

Chief investigative reporter Jeremy Finley also won an Emmy for journalistic enterprise, which featured a compilation of several I-Team stories.
