Hail as large as baseballs fell in Middle Tennessee Saturday afternoon as part of a severe storm system.

Viewers from Pulaski sent a photo of hail. Giles County sheriff's office dispatchers reported heavy rains as well as hail, but no major damage. At least one report of a funnel cloud being spotted was confirmed to the Giles County Sheriff's Office.

In the Minor Hill and Stella areas of Giles County, baseball to softball sized hail caused damage to windows to several vehicles.

It's been reported several carports were ruined, and at least two homes had windows broken by hail in Giles County including several trees downed by heavy winds.

Maury County dispatch reported a tree downed that required the assistance of the highway department on Taylor Road. Golf ball sized hail has also been reported in Maury County.

The storms quickly faded after sunset and the overnight hours should be dry in Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky.
