Titans owner Bud Adams would like to sign former Indianapolis Colt and UT standout Peyton Manning for his team.
Adams tells the Tennessean that he's ready to make a competitive offer to get Manning, and that he's already contacted Manning's agent about a visit.
It's not clear whether Manning is interested in the Titans.
Adams said since Manning went to school in Tennessee, he believes the future Hall of Fame quarterback should be here to play.
Titans General Manager Ruston Webster and Chief Operating Officer Mike Reinfeldt and Coach Mike Munchak have not yet commented.
