WSMV Channel 4 Channel 4's Chris Harris at the NFL Combine

Thursday, 5:30 p.m.

Good Day 1 at the Combine. We got plenty from Webster and Munchak, which is to say, they talked a lot without saying a whole lot. It wasn't the cluster I figured it'd be. SEC media days is much more ridiculous. Perhaps tomorrow will be a little nuttier with the QBs and RBs coming in to talk.

It's a shame no one starts the drills until Saturday. We're leaving Friday. But we should get to chat with Jeff Fisher before we head out.

Been impressed with Indy so far - nice, clean downtown. Although my burger at Weber Grill was over-cooked last night.

Anyway, we'll be live at 6:25ish and 6:55ish again. Tune in and see what we've been up to!

Thursday, 2:23 p.m.

Interesting first experience at the NFL combine. Talked with Titans' GM Ruston Webster as well as head coach Mike Munchak.

They're saying the same things - needs look to be a pass rusher, DBs and some interior offensive linemen. They drafted well last year, and are looking to duplicate that this time.

NOT looking at wide receivers assuming Britt is back 100%.

I also chatted with Chris Mortensen about what he thinks the Titans should do. He pretty much said the same thing. Nobody will give any names!!! Ah well. Free agency starts March 13th, it'll get interesting then.

Now back to crack-a-lacking.

Wednesday night

We just rolled in to Indianapolis for the NFL combine, which starts Thursday. Photographer Craig Minor and I will be talking to Titans' GM Ruston Webster and head coach Mike Munchak, among others.

On Thursday, the offensive linemen are made available to us. I'd imagine the Titans will be paying extra attention to those guys this week, seeing as how Tennessee's running game underperformed last season. (averaged about 3.8 yds per carry)

Then on Friday, we'll chat with Tennessee running back Tauren Poole, among others. We'll try and track down Jeff Fisher, too---curious to hear how his new gig with the Rams is working out for him.
