Statehouse debates requirements for Hope Scholarship

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

The bill to make it tougher to get a Hope Scholarship is up for debate in an education committee.

Currently students who want a 4-year scholarship have to get a 3.0 grade point average or a 21 on the ACT.

A bill in the legislature would require students to have both starting with the 2015-2016 academic year.
