NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Metro Police said a driver shot while driving on Interstate 24 early Wednesday morning had left a night club in the moments prior to the shooting.

According to officers, DeAndre Person, 22, and his three passengers, Terae Person, 20, Davon Dixon, 19, and Jeffery Middleton, 32, reported that they had left Klub Cirok on Murfreesboro Pike and were traveling on I-24 when shots were fired at them from a white four-door sedan.

DeAndre Person and the three other men were occupying a silver Lincoln Town Car in the westbound lanes around 3 a.m., according to police.

Officers said DeAndre Person was struck in the shoulder by a bullet, and exited the interstate.

He drove to Love's Travel Stop on Trinity Lane, police said.

DeAndre Person was treated for a minor injury at a local hospital and was released, police said.

No one else was hurt.

Officers said the motive for the shooting is still under investigation.
