Jerry Dixon
GALLATIN, TN (WSMV) -
Two men were injured after a fight at a Gallatin restaurant Tuesday night.
The incident happened at the LongHorn Steakhouse on Nashville Pike at about 7:30 p.m.
Gallatin police said Ricky Troutt, 55, suffered a knife wound to the neck during the fight. He was flown to Vanderbilt Medical Center for treatment, where he remains in stable condition.
Another man, Jerry Dixon, 66, of Westmoreland, suffered minor injuries. Dixon was arrested Wednesday on a charge of attempted second-degree murder after he was released from Sumner Regional Medical Center.
Police say Dixon cut Troutt in the neck, cheek and arm after an altercation in the bar area of the restaurant escalated to the fight in the front foyer area.
The two men are former business partners whose business relationship dissolved several years ago and resulted in a court-ordered settlement.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and they do not know if more charges may be coming.
