Antioch man charged in TSU dorm shooting

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Police have charged a suspect in last weekend's shooting inside a dorm at Tennessee State University.

Tony Lorenzo Johnson, 21, of Baby Ruth Lane in Antioch, is accused of shooting and robbing an 18-year-old student inside Watson Hall early Sunday morning.

Police say Johnson took a laptop computer and a game system from the student's room. Johnson was arrested later Sunday evening near Watson Hall, and he was identified in a lineup this week.

Johnson is charged with criminal trespassing, resisting arrest, felony marijuana possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of apparent drugs. He is jailed on $117,500 bond.

The student who was wounded is expected to recover.
