LAWRENCEBURG, TN (WSMV) -
A man fell from a bluff Tuesday evening in Lawrence County and was transported to Vanderbilt with major injuries.
A few folks on four-wheelers found the man in a creek at the bottom of the cliff, known as Insurance Bluff in West Point.
According to the sheriff's department, the man was rescued then airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Deputies aren't sure how he fell and are continuing the investigation.
This tragedy isn't the first at Insurance Bluff. In 2009, a man died after he lost his balance and fell down a cliff there.
