NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
Organizers for the Franklin American Mortgage Company Music City Bowl say the game made a $22 million impact on Nashville's economy.
Bowl officials say December's game between Mississippi State and Wake Forest brought more than 55,000 fans to town, and close to 37,000 were from outside the area.
Organizers say the 2011 Music City Bowl brought in about $2 million more to the Nashville economy than the previous year's game.
