Community college credit to be accepted at more schools

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

More private schools are joining Tennessee's Associate Degree Transfer Program.

The official announcement happens Tuesday, and will mean more students can use class credit while pursuing higher degrees.

The Transfer Pathways Program lets students enroll in classes at a community college with the assurance that their associates degree credits can be transferred to a college or university.

All of the state's public schools already participate. Tuesday's addition includes 15 more private colleges and universities that are joining the program.
