Julia Bruck

Julia Bruck joined Channel 4 News in February 2012 as a reporter from KFVS in Cape Girardeau, MO.

Julia was an award-winning reporter at KFVS, receiving top honors for investigative reporting from the Missouri Broadcasters Association.

She has flown with World War II veterans to see their memorial in Washington, DC, spent two months covering historic flooding across southeast Missouri and southern Illinois and took many beyond the score showing viewers the story behind the game score.

Since the age at 10, Julia has wanted to work in television. She began her journey by receiving a degree from Santa Clara University in communications. While at Santa Clara, Julia interned at CNN in San Francisco and NBC News in New York City.

Before diving into the world of TV, Julia lived in Japan to be an English teacher.

Julia's passion for television and sports lead her back to the United States where she worked for NBC Sports at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.

Julia started reporting in Wyoming. She worked in both Jackson Hole and Casper. During her time in Casper, Julia was honored with Best News Piece from the Wyoming Broadcasters Association.

Julia then moved to West Texas. For nearly three years, she shared the stories of those who live on the South Plains. While working in Lubbock, Julia received Honorable Mention from the Texas Associated Press Broadcasters for Best Serious Feature. She also won two awards for her medical reporting. Julia perfected her two-step, as well.

When not reporting, you can expect to find Julia out exploring new restaurants, the outdoors or working on her two-step to live music.
