FRANKLIN, TN (WSMV) -

A Kenny Chesney fan who decided to have an unauthorized midnight wine tasting at his home south of Nashville is still in jail Thursday.

Melissa Mansfield, of Murrieta, CA, is jailed in Williamson County after she was charged early Wednesday with trespassing and public intoxication at the country singer's home.

A law enforcement official said Chesney was not at home when an alarm was activated around 2 a.m. at the hilltop estate.

When deputies responded, they found Mansfield near the pool area of the house. They said she was intoxicated and claimed she was dating Chesney, which his public relations people deny.

Mansfield allegedly started her Chesney journey in Knoxville this week by trying to visit his family. She then took a bus to Nashville and then a limousine to Chesney's home.

Mansfield is scheduled for a Feb. 23 hearing before a Williamson County judge. Her bond is posted at $1,000, but she has not yet worked out her release.
