Kenny Rogers files lawsuit against former record label

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Country music legend Kenny Rogers filed a lawsuit against his former record label, Capitol Records, in a Nashville federal court on Monday.

The lawsuit claims Capitol Records owes Rogers more than $400,000 for three decades worth of digital royalties. 

According to the lawsuit, Capitol Records breached Rogers' original contract made back in 1977.

No court date has been set yet.
