WSMV Channel 4 Land Between the Lakes had educational grants

GOLDEN POND, Ky. (AP) - Land Between the Lakes has grants available to help school teachers pay for class field trips.

The grants may be used by any public school within 100 miles of LBL, in Kentucky and Tennessee. They help cover the cost of transportation, facility admissions, program costs and dorm rentals. The grants apply during the 2012-2013 school year and the deadline for schools to apply is April 30, 2012.

LBL programs are designed to support the Kentucky and Tennessee State K-12 curriculum guidelines for science, social studies, and arts and humanities
