Warren County accident leaves four people dead

Posted: Updated:

The Tennessee Highway Patrol has confirmed no one survived a car crash Friday night on a curvy road in Warren County.

According to the THP, Greg Jones lost control of his vehicle while taking to a curve on Short Mountain Road just before 8 p.m.

Jones went into oncoming traffic and side-swiped a car driven by Cynthia Womack. State Troopers say Jones and his two passengers, Darrell Evans and Steven Bush, were killed. Womack was also pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say none of the occupants were wearing their seatbelts, which, they said, would have made a difference.

Tests have been done to see if alcohol or drugs may have also contributed to the accident.
