NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

The head football coach and top administrator at a Nashville private school was arrested Thursday night on a charge of prostitution, according to police reports.

David M. Pack, 49, who is employed by Franklin Road Academy, was arrested after responding to an ad placed on backpage.com. The affidavit said Pack was told to go to the Sleep Inn on Dickerson Pike. Once inside the hotel room with the undercover agent, he agreed to have sex for $150.

Pack resigned as head football coach and assistant to the head of the school Friday morning, according to the school.

"The FRA administration was shocked and saddened to learn this morning of a situation involving Mr. David Pack," the school said in a statement. "Effective immediately, Mr. Pack has resigned from Franklin Road Academy. Due to the legal nature of the situation, the school will have no further comment at this time."

Pack was hired at FRA in March 2008. He was previously head football coach at Christ Presbyterian Academy, where he led the team to championships in 2000 and 2002. He served as Dean of Students, assistant football coach and girls head basketball coach at Ensworth High School in 2004-2008, winning a girls basketball championship in 2008.
