Missing metal on McMinnville bridge leaves authorities puzzled

McMINNVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Several small but important pieces of metal are missing from the bolts on a Middle Tennessee bridge.

Crews recently spent time replacing several nuts that have disappeared on the Westwood Bridge railing in Warren County.

Tennessee Department of Transportation officials say no one was ever in any danger because of the missing parts.

Authorities are still trying to figure out how the nuts came off the McMinnville bridge.
