Synthetic drugs confiscated at La Vergne market

LaVERGNE, TN (WSMV) -

Police in La Vergne said they confiscated drug supplies, synthetic marijuana and $1,775 cash from a local market Wednesday.

Following an undercover investigation, police searched Mark Market on West Nir Shreibman Boulevard and found 108 packs of 7H, a type of synthetic marijuana, 163 pieces of drug supplies including pipes, bongs, scales, grinders and cash.

The marker owner, Beshoui Shenouda, and clerk, Rayek Tawardrous, were issued misdemeanor citations. They are scheduled to appear in court March 28.
